Hate Week Has Begun!
Good Morning Comrades, and what a doubleplusgood morning it has already been! Tuesday, the preparations for Hate Week have started fullwise. With the war against Eurasia being a rousing success, persons party or prole have been celebrating under the love and protection of Big Brother. Big Brother is always watching!
Comrades: remember to follow ALL of the Party Suggestions, as have been listed during today's Party Announcements! The Ministries have announced an increase in Though Police to protect all comrades from thoughtcrime during the Hate Week celebrations. For Comrades that have not yet memorized all instances of thoughtcrime:
- Comrades must check into E1A by placing their personal telescreen into the Hotel.
- Comrades (including allided comrades) must, in any situation, be greeted with the phrase, "Good morning, Comrade," or "Good afternoon, Comrade," before any other speech commences. This phrase substitutes for "hi," "hello," "what's up," or any other such greeting.
- Comrades must greet all teachers and subs (including the Administrator) with the phrases "Hi Mr./Ms./Mrs./Tr. [last name]" and "I am eager to learn today," and depart from the class with the phrase "Thank you" or "Bye."
- During Party announcements, Comrades must sit quietly, looking straight at the front of the room with hands folded on the table in front of them. When announcements are over, Comrades must say “Go Warriors!” in a voice sufficiently loud so that others can hear.
- Comrades must wear the provided Party bracelet and have it visible on the left wrist at all times. If lost, dire consequences can be incurred.
- Comrades must fist-bump other Comrades when they see them on campus outside of E1A (this applies to all comrades in Oceania and our allied superstates). Comrades must not fist-bump anyone from an enemy superstate.
- Social media and mobile/PC games during school hours are a distraction from learning and are strictly prohibited. If Comrades accidentally open these at any time, they must say “Sorry, Big Brother” in a voice sufficiently loud so that others can hear and immediately close the application.
- Black must be worn (not carried) at all times. Anyone should be able to see the black without having to look for it.
- Comrades will not use personal telescreens during instructional time in any class (unless directed by a teacher). The use of all personal electronic devices deters from productivity.
- Comrades must use the Newspeak words in place of banned words. The following words are banned and replaced with Newspeak:
- Banned: all swear words
- Banned: Words that mean very or “superlatively bad” (i.e. very bad, sucks, terrible, horrible, etc.) → Newspeak: ungood, plusungood, doubleplusungood
- Banned: Words that mean very or “superlatively good” (i.e. great, excellent, terrific, awesome) → Newspeak: good, plusgood, doubleplusgood
Please watch out for any changes in the Party Suggestions as Hate Week progresses.
